ROUTE 29 / GAINESVILLE

I-66 East and West from Route 29 Gainesville to Route 234 Business (Sudley Rd)

Monday, September 9 – Tuesday, September 10: 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Virginia State Police will pace eastbound and westbound traffic in this area to a slow roll, with temporary stoppages possible, for blasting operations along I-66 between University Boulevard and Prince William Parkway. Slow roll conditions should last for approximately 15 minutes. Additionally, stoppages will also occur on northbound Prince William Parkway (Route 234 Bypass) just north of the exit to I-66 East and from Route 29 in Gainesville to I-66 East starting at 11 a.m.

ROUTE 234 BUSINESS (SUDLEY ROAD) / MANASSAS

No significant traffic impacts scheduled.

ROUTE 28 (SULLY ROAD) / CENTREVILLE

Route 29 North and South from Machen Road to Stone Road

Monday, September 9: 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Left lanes of northbound and southbound Route 29 for crews to set up a safe work zone in the center median to build a temporary left turn from southbound Route 29 to I-66 West.  The southern half of the left turn lane from northbound Route 29 to I-66 East will remain closed while the temporary .  Drivers should expect occasional 20-minute stoppages and slowdowns along northbound and southbound Route 29.

ROUTE 286 (FAIRFAX COUNTY PARKWAY)

ROUTE 123 (CHAIN BRIDGE ROAD) / OAKTON – CITY OF FAIRFAX

ROUTE 243 (NUTLEY STREET) / VIENNA

I-66 West from Gallows Road to Nutley Street

Wednesday, September 11: 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Three lanes of westbound I-66 closed for crews to shift traffic on I-66 near Vaden Drive. Drivers should expect occasional 20-minute stoppages and slowdowns along westbound I-66 and on the ramp from Virginia Center Boulevard to I-66 West.

I-495 (CAPITAL BELTWAY)

I-66 West from I-495 to Gallows Road

Ramp from I-495 North Express Lanes to I-66 West

Sunday, September 8– Friday, September 13: 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Two left lanes closed on westbound I-66 for new Gallows Road bridge construction in center median.  The ramp from the northbound I-495 Express Lanes to westbound I-66 will be closed nightly.  I-495 Express Lane North traffic will be detoured to the exit for I-66 East to the Route 7 (Leesburg), take a left off the exit and stay to the right to follow signs to I-66 West.

Saturday, September 14 midnight to 4 a.m.

The ramp from the northbound I-495 Express Lanes to eastbound I-66 will be closed. Traffic will be detoured to the exit for I-66 West to the exit for Nutley Street South, stay to the right to follow signs to I-66 East.
