ROUTE 29 / GAINESVILLE

Route 29 North and South from Heathcote Boulevard to University Boulevard

Monday, Apr. 20, through Friday, May 15: 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Two lanes on northbound Route 29 and one lane on southbound Route 29 closed for drainage installation.

 

I-66 West from Route 234 Business to Route 29 Gainesville

Starts Monday, April 20

Single and multi-lane closures will be implemented for extended paving operations. The HOV lane will be closed indefinitely. Between noon and 8 p.m. daily, three travel lanes will be open to all traffic. Between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. nightly, three lanes will be closed, leaving one travel lane open. Between 6 a.m. and noon daily, two lanes will be closed, leaving two travel lanes open.

 

ROUTE 234 BUSINESS (SUDLEY ROAD) / MANASSAS

I-66 East from Groveton Road to Route 234 Business

Monday, May 11: 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Three left lanes closed for overhead gantry removal.  Drivers should expect slowdowns and periodic 20-minute stoppages between midnight and 4 a.m.

 

I-66 West from Route 234 Business to Route 29 Gainesville

Starts Monday, April 20

Single lane, two-way traffic with flagging operation for utility work.

 

ROUTE 28 (SULLY ROAD) / CENTREVILLE

Compton Road at I-66

Monday, May 4, through Friday, May 22: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Single lane, two-way traffic with flagging operation for bridge construction.

 

I-66 East from Compton Road to Route 29

Monday, May 11, through Friday, May 15: 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Two right lanes closed for barrier demolition.

 

Route 29 Centreville North and South at I-66

Monday, May 11, through Friday, May 15: 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

One lane closed on northbound and southbound Route 29 for barrier demolition.

 

I-66 East and West between Route 29 Centreville and Stringfellow Road

Route 28 North and South between Route 29 and Braddock Road

Monday, May 11, through Friday, May 15: 11 a.m. to noon

Temporary 15-minute stoppages of traffic on I-66 East and West, Route 28 North and South for blasting operations.

 

I-66 West from Route 28 to Route 29

Monday, May 11, through Saturday, May 16: 8 p.m. to 8 a.m.

Two right lanes closed for retaing wall construction.

 

Ramp from I-66 East to Route 28 North

Sunday, May 10, through Sunday, June 14: 9 p.m. to 4 a.m.

The ramp from I-66 East to Route 28 North will also be closed nightly. Traffic will be detoured farther east to Route 286 (Fairfax County Parkway) North, stay to the right for I-66 West, then follow signs to Route 28 North.

 

Route 28 North from Braddock Road to Westfields Boulevard

Sunday, May 10, through Saturday, May 30: 8 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.

Two lanes will be closed for paving.

 

Route 28 South from Westfields Boulevard to Braddock Road

Sunday, May 10, through Saturday, May 16: 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Two lanes will be closed for paving.

 

Stringfellow Road North and South from Fair Lake Boulevard to Westbrook Drive

HOV Ramp from I-66 West to Stringfellow Road

Sunday, May 10, through Friday, May 15: 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Strinfellow Road will be reduced to two lanes, one in each direction.  The two open travel lanes will use the southbound lanes of Stringfellow Road under I-66.   The HOV ramp from I-66 West to Stringfellow Road will be right turn only from 8 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. Drivers will be directed to turn right onto northbound Stringfellow Road, stay to the left, and make a U-turn at Fair Lakes Boulevard onto southbound Stringfellow Road.

 

ROUTE 286 (FAIRFAX COUNTY PARKWAY)

Stringfellow Road North and South from Fair Lake Boulevard to Westbrook Drive

HOV Ramp from I-66 West to Stringfellow Road

Sunday, May 10, through Friday, May 15: 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Strinfellow Road will be reduced to two lanes, one in each direction.  The two open travel lanes will use the southbound lanes of Stringfellow Road under I-66.   The HOV ramp from I-66 West to Stringfellow Road will be right turn only from 8 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. Drivers will be directed to turn right onto northbound Stringfellow Road, stay to the left, and make a U-turn at Fair Lakes Boulevard onto southbound Stringfellow Road.

I-66 East from Waples Mill Road to Jermantown Road

Sunday, May 10, through Friday, May 15: 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

ROUTE 243 (NUTLEY STREET) / VIENNA

I-66 West from Blake Lane to Nutley Street

Monday, May 11, and Tuesday, May 12: 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Two left lanes closed for crews to set barrier.

 

Cedar Lane from Hilltop Drive to Cottage Street

Monday, Apr. 27, through Friday, May 15: 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Single lane, two-way traffic with flagging operation for underground waterline relocation.

I-495 (CAPITAL BELTWAY)

Ramp from I-66 East to I-495 North

Beginning Monday, April 20 at 8 p.m. 

The left lane of two will be closed for bridge pier construction.

 

I-495 North from Route 29 to I-66

Monday, Apr. 27, through Friday, May 22: 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Two lanes will be closed for bridge construction.

 

Ramp from I-66 East to I-495 North and South Express Lanes

Tuesday, May 12, and Wednesday, May 13: 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

The ramp from I-66 East to the northbound and southbouth I-495 Express Lanes will be closed.  Traffic will be directed to use the I-495 North and South general purpose lanes.
