ROUTE 29 (LEE HIGHWAY) / GAINESVILLE

I-66 East and West between Route 29 Gainesville and Prince William Parkway (Route 234 Bypass)

Monday, March 22, through Friday, March 26: 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

I-66 East and West will be reduced to one travel lane approaching University Boulevard for overhead bridge work. Drivers should expect periodic stoppages of up to 20 minutes between midnight and 4 a.m.

 

ROUTE 234 BUSINESS (SUDLEY ROAD) / MANASSAS

I-66 West at Route 234 Business

Monday, March 22, through Thursday, March 25: 5 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Two lanes will be closed for pothole repair and paving.

 

Ramp from I-66 West to Route 234 Business (Sudley Road) North and South

Sunday, March 21, through Thursday, March 25: 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.

The ramp will be closed.  All traffic exiting at Route 234 Business will be directed to continue on I-66 West, exit to Route 29 (Lee Highway) North Gainesville, stay to the left on the ramp and turn left at the traffic signal on to Route 29 South, stay to the right to reach I-66 East, then follow signs to Route 234 Business (Sudley Road).

ROUTE 28 (SULLY ROAD) / CENTREVILLE

Route 28 South from Braddock Road to I-66

Monday, March 22, through Thursday, March 25: 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Two lanes closed for utility work.

 

Route 28 North at I-66

The right lane of Route 28 North at I-66 will remain closed to provide an extended merge lane for the ramp from I-66 East to Route 28 North.

 

ROUTE 286 (FAIRFAX COUNTY PARKWAY) / FAIR LAKES

I-66 West at Stringfellow Road

Saturday, March 20: 9 p.m. – 10 a.m.

Two left lanes will be closed for drainage installation in the median.

Monday, March 22, through Thursday, March 25: 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Friday, March 26: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The right lane will be closed for bridge work.

 

I-66 East from Monument Drive to Route 50

Sunday, March 14, through Tuesday, March 16: 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

I-66 East will be reduced to a single travel lane approaching Route 50 for overhead bridge work.

 

I-66 West from Route 50 to Route 286

ROUTE 50 / FAIRFAX

I-66 East and West between Monument Drive and Waples Mill Road

Monday, March 22, through Thursday, March 25: 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

I-66 East and West will be reduced to a single travel lane approaching Route 50 for overhead bridge work. Drivers should expect slowdowns and periodic stoppages of up to 20 minutes between midnight and 4 a.m.

 

Ramp from Route 50 East to I-66 West

Sunday night, March 21, through Tuesday night, March 23: midnight to 4 a.m.

The ramp will be closed. Traffic will be directed to continue east on Route 50 East, stay to the left and make a U-turn from the left-most left turn lane at the Waples Mill Road traffic signal on to Route 50 West, and stay to the right to reach I-66 West.

 

I-66 West from Route 50 to Route 286 (Fairfax County Parkway)

Wednesday night, March 24, and Thursday night, March 25: Midnight to 4 a.m.

The ramp will be closed. Traffic will be directed to continue on I-66 West, exit to Route 50 East, stay left to reach I-66 East, then follow signs to Route 123.

 

ROUTE 243 (NUTLEY STREET) / VIENNA

I-66 West from Cedar Lane to Nutley Street

Monday, March 22, through Thursday, Marcy 25: 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Two lanes will be closed for drainage work.

 

Saintsbury Drive from Sayre Rd to Vaden Drive

Monday, Marcy 22, through Friday, Marcy 26: 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Flaggers will alternate a single lane of traffic on Saintsbury Drive.

 

Ramp from I-66 West to Nutley Street

Tuesday, March 23: 4 a.m. to 7 a.m. (Wednesday, March 23 and Thursday, March 24 are back updates should inclement conditions occur)

There will be two short stoppages of up to 10 minutes for Verizon to install overhead cable.

 

I-66 East and West from Nutley Street to Gallows Road

Thursday night, March 25: 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

I-66 East and West will be reduced to a single travel lane in each direction approaching Cedar Lane for removal of an overhead power line. Drivers should expect periodic stoppages of up to 20 minutes between midnight and 4 a.m.

Thursday night, March 25: Midnight to 4 a.m.

Flaggers will alternate a single lane of traffic on Cedar Lane over I-66.

 

I-66 West from Nutley Street to Vaden Drive

I-495 (CAPITAL BELTWAY) / DUNN LORING

I-66 West from I-495 to Gallows Road

Friday, March 26: 9 p.m. to 9 a.m.

I-66 West will be reduced to a single travel lane approaching Gallows Road for overhead bridge work. Drivers should expect slowdowns and periodic stoppages of up to 20 minutes between midnight and 4 a.m.

 

Ramp from 495 Express Lanes North to I-66 West

Friday, March 26: 10:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.

The ramp will be closed.  Traffic will be detoured to I-66 East, take the exit for Route 7 (Leesburg Pike), stay to the left and turn left at the light, then follow signs to I-66 West.

 

Gallows Road over I-66

Friday, March 26: 9 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Gallows Road over I-66 will be reduced to a single travel lane in each direction. Two-way traffic will run in the southbound lanes.
