ROUTE 29 (LEE HIGHWAY) / GAINESVILLE

I-66 East from University Boulevard to Route 234 Business

Friday, June 4: 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Three lanes will be closed for paving.

 

I-66 West from Groveton Road to Route 234 Bypass

Friday, June 4: 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Three lanes will be closed for paving.

 

I-66 East from Route 29 (Lee Highway) Gainesville to University Boulevard

Monday, June 7, and Tuesday, June 8: 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Three lanes (two lanes on Tuesday) will be closed for overhead bridge work.

 

I-66 West from University Boulevard to Route 29 (Lee Highway) Gainesville

Wednesday, June 9, and Thursday, June 10: 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Three lanes (two lanes on Thursday) will be closed for overhead bridge work.

 

ROUTE 234 BUSINESS (SUDLEY ROAD) / MANASSAS

I-66 East from University Boulevard to Route 234 Business (Sudley Road)

Friday, June 4: 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Three lanes will be closed for paving.

 

I-66 West from Groveton Road to Route 234 Bypass (Prince William Parkway)

Friday, June 4: 9 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Three lanes will be closed for paving.

 

Ramp from I-66 East to Route 234 Business (Sudley Road) North and South

Friday night, June 4: Midnight to 4 a.m.

The ramp will be closed. Traffic will be directed to exit prior to the closure to 234 Bypass South, then turn left onto Balls Ford Road to reach Route 234 Business.

 

I-66 West from 66 East from Route 234 Business (Sudley Road) to Groveton Road

Sunday, June 6, through Thursday, June 10: 9 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Three lanes will be closed for paving.

 

Ramp from Route 234 Business North and South to I-66 West

Monday night, June 7, and Tuesday night, June 8: Midnight to 4 a.m. 

Friday, June 11, and Saturday, June 12: 10 p.m. to 7 a.m.

The ramp will be closed. Traffic on northbound Route 234 Business will be directed to turn left at Balls Ford Road, travel about two miles, turn right onto Route 234 Bypass North, then follow signs to I-66 West. Traffic on southbound Route 234 Business will be directed to turn right on to Route 29 (Lee Highway) South, and then follow signs to I-66 West.

Three lanes will be closed for survey work and paving.

 

I-66 East from Route 234 Business (Sudley Road) to Manassas Rest Area

Thursday, June 10: 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Three lanes will be closed for traffic shift implementation

 

I-66 East from Route 234 Business (Sudley Road) to Compton Road

Friday, June 11, and Saturday, June 12: 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Three lanes will be closed for implementation of a traffic shift.

 

Ramp from Route 234 Business (Sudley Road) South to I-66 East

Thursday night, June 10: Midnight to 4 a.m.

Friday, June 11, and Saturday, June 12: 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

The ramp will be closed. Traffic will be directed farther south on Route 234 Business, stay to the left and make a U-turn from the left-most turn lane at the traffic signal at Balls Ford Road, then follow signs to I-66 East.

 

Ramp from Route 234 Business (Sudley Road) North to I-66 East

Friday, June 11, and Saturday, June 12: 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

The ramp will be reduced to a single lane for implementation of a traffic shift.

 

ROUTE 29 (LEE HIGHWAY) / CENTREVILLE

ROUTE 28 (SULLY ROAD) / CENTREVILLE

Route 28 North and South from Braddock Road to Route 29 (Lee Highway)

I-66 West at Route 28

Wednesday, June 9, and Thursday, June 10: 11 a.m. to noon

Temporary 15-minute stoppages of traffic for blasting operations.

 

Route 28 North from I-66 to Braddock Road

Monday, June 7, and Tuesday, June 8: 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Two lanes will be closed for utility work.

 

Route 28 North from I-66 to north of Walney Road

Wednesday, June 9, and Thursday, June 10: 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Two lanes will be closed for installation of traffic signal on the Braddock Road/Walney Road overpass.  Drivers should expect period stoppages of up to 20 minutes between midnight and 4 a.m.

 

Route 28 South at I-66 West

The right lane of Route 28 South will be converted to an exit-only lane to I-66 West.

 

Route 28 North at I-66

Ongoing

The right lane of Route 28 North at I-66 will remain closed to provide an extended merge lane for the ramp from I-66 East to Route 28 North.

 

ROUTE 286 (FAIRFAX COUNTY PARKWAY) / FAIR LAKES

Stringfellow Road North and South at I-66

Monday, June 7, through Friday, June 11: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Monday, June 7, through Wednesday, June 10: 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

The right lane will be closed for bridge work.

 

Stringfellow Road North and South between Fair Lakes Boulevard and Westbrook Drive/Village Square Drive

Thursday, June 10: 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Friday, June 11, and Saturday, June 12: 9 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Stringfellow Road North and South approaching I-66 will be closed nightly from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. (4 a.m. Friday) for overhead bridge beam installation. All lanes will reopen by 7 a.m. (5 a.m. Friday)

 

On the north side of I-66 thru-traffic will be directed to Fair Lakes Boulevard, turn right on to Fair Lakes Parkway, travel about one mile and turn right on to the ramp to Route 286 (Fairfax County Parkway) South, follow signs to Route 29 (Lee Highway) South, and travel about two miles on Route 29 South to reach the intersection with Stringfellow Road. Vehicles can then turn left to southbound Stringfellow Road or turn right to travel toward I-66.

 

On the south side of I-66, thru-traffic will be directed to Route 29 North, travel north on Route 29 for two miles, then follow signs to Route 286 North. Drivers will then exit at Fair Lakes Parkway/Monument Drive and stay to the left to turn left at the traffic signal on to Fair Lakes Parkway, turn left on to Fair Lakes Boulevard, and then turn right on to Stringfellow Road to head north.

The ramp will be closed. Traffic will be directed farther east, stay to the left and use the left-most left turn lane to make a U-turn at the traffic signal at Waples Mill Road, then follow signs to I-66 West.

The ramp will be closed.  Traffic on southbound Route 123 will be directed to take the exit for I-66 West, then take the exit for Route 50 East, stay to the left and exit to I-66 East.  Traffic on northbound Route 123 will be directed to continue north on Route 123, stay to the left and turn left at the traffic signal to I-66 West, then take the exit for Route 50 East, stay to the left and exit to I-66 East.

 

I-66 East from Waples Mill Road to Jermantown Road

Wednesday, June 9, and Thursday, June 10: 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Three lanes will be closed approaching Vaden Drive for bridge beam installation.  Drivers should expect periodic 20-minute stoppages during the overnight hours.

Wednesday, June 9, through Friday, June 11: 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

The ramp will be closed. Overhead variable message boards in the Express Lanes will direct traffic to an alternate route.

Gallows Road over I-66

Monday, June 7, through Thursday, June 10: 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Gallows Road over I-66 will be reduced to a single travel lane in each direction. Southbound Gallows Road will be closed with two-way traffic running in the northbound lanes. Southbound drivers on Gallows Road will not be allowed to turn right to Avenir Place or left on to Bellforest Drive. Drivers on Avenir Place and Bellforest Drive will not be allowed to turn left on to Gallows Road.
