ROUTE 29 / GAINESVILLE

I-66 West from Route 234 Business to Route 29 (Lee Highway) Gainesville

Ongoing

Single and multi-lane closures will be implemented for extended paving operations. The HOV lane will be closed indefinitely. Between noon and 8 p.m. daily, three travel lanes will be open to all traffic. Between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. nightly, three lanes will be closed, leaving one travel lane open. Between 6 a.m. and noon daily, two lanes will be closed, leaving two travel lanes open.

Ramp from I-66 East to Prince William Parkway

Tuesday, June 16: 9:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.

The ramp will be closed for paving and traffic shift implementation. Traffic will be directed to continue farther east to the exit for Route 234 Business (Sudley Road) North, turn left at the traffic signal for I-66 West, and follow signs to Prince William Parkway South.

ROUTE 234 BUSINESS (SUDLEY ROAD) / MANASSAS

I-66 West from Route 234 Business to Route 29 Gainesville

ROUTE 28 (SULLY ROAD) / CENTREVILLE

I-66 East and West between Route 29 Centreville and Stringfellow Road 

Route 28 North and South between Route 29 and Braddock Road

Monday, June 15, through Friday, June 19: 11 a.m. to noon

Temporary 15-minute stoppages of traffic on I-66 East and West, and Route 28 North and South for blasting operations.

Route 28 South from Westfields Boulevard to Braddock Road 

Saturday, June 13: 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Wednesday, June 17, and Thursday, June 18: 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Two lanes will be closed for crews to implement a traffic shift and paving.

Monday, June 15, through Thursday, June 18: 9:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.

Friday, June 19: 9:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.

Two lanes will be closed for bridge work.

I-66 East from Route 50 to Jermantown Road

Monday, June 15, through Friday, June 19: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Sunday, June 14, through Friday, June 19: 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. 

Three lanes will be closed for overhead bridge work at Route 123.

ROUTE 243 (NUTLEY STREET) / VIENNA

Cedar Lane between Hilltop Drive and Cottage Street

Cedar Lane over I-66 will be closed for demolition and reconstruction of the bridge.

I-66 East from Route 123 to Nutley Street

Friday, June 12: 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Monday, June 15, through Thursday, June 18: 9 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.

Friday, June 19: 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Saturday, June 20: 9 p.m. to 9 a.m.

I-66 East will be reduced to one travel lane for bridge beam installation and crane mobilization (Saturday night) at Vaden Drive near the Vienna Metrorail Station. Drivers should expect periodic 30-minute stoppages at Vaden Drive for crews to lift bridge beams into place.

I-66 East from Nutley Street to Cedar Lane

Friday, June 12: 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

I-66 East will be reduced to one travel lane for bridge beam removal at Cedar Lane. Drivers should expect periodic 20-minute stoppages.

I-66 West from Cedar Lane to west of Vaden Drive

Saturday, June 20: 9:30 p.m. to 9 a.m.

I-66 West will be reduced to one travel lane for crane mobilization at Vaden Drive near the Vienna Metrorail Station.

I-66 West from Cedar Lane to Nutley Street

Friday, June 19, and Saturday, June 20: 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Two lanes will be closed for crews to implement traffic shift.

I-495 (CAPITAL BELTWAY) / DUNN LORING

Ramp from I-66 East to I-495 North

Continuing through Monday, June 22

The right lane of two will be closed for bridge pier construction.

Ramp from I-66 East to 495 Express Lanes South

Tuesday, June 16, and Wednesday, June 17: 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

The ramp will be closed for utility work. Traffic will be directed to take the exit for the southbound I-495 general purpose lanes.

I-495 North from Route 29 to I-66
