 ROUTE 29 / GAINESVILLE

I-66 East and West from Route 29 Gainesville to Route 234 Business (Sudley Rd)

Thursday, August 1: 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Virginia State Police will pace eastbound and westbound traffic in this area to a slow roll, with temporary stoppages possible, for blasting operations along I-66 between University Boulevard and Prince William Parkway. Slow roll conditions should last for approximately 15 minutes. Additionally, stoppages will also occur on the ramps from Prince William Parkway (Route 234 Bypass) to I-66 West and from Route 29 in Gainesville to I-66 East starting at 11 a.m. Northbound and southbound University Boulevard and northbound Prince William Parkway near I-66 may be blocked as well.

ROUTE 234 BUSINESS (SUDLEY ROAD) / MANASSAS

I-66 East and West from Compton Road to Route 234 Business

Monday, July 29 – Tuesday, July 30: 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Three right lanes of westbound I-66 and two left lanes of eastbound I-66 closed for crews to lift bridge beams into place at Bull Run Drive.  Drivers should expect up to 30-minute stoppages and slowdowns along westbound I-66 between midnight and 4 a.m..

I-66 East and West from Compton Road to Route 234 Business

Wednesday, July 31: 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Saturday, August 3: 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Three right lanes of westbound and eastbound I-66 closed for crews to move cranes at new Bull Run Drive overpass.

I-66 East and West from Compton Road to Route 234 Business

Thursday, August 1 – Friday, August 2: 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Three right lanes of eastbound I-66 and two left lanes of westbound I-66 closed for crews to lift bridge beams into place at Bull Run Drive.  Drivers should expect up to 30-minute stoppages and slowdowns along eastbound I-66 between midnight and 4 a.m..

Sudley Road (Route 234 Business) South from Manassas Battlefield to I-66

Saturday, August 3 – Saturday August 10

Single left lane closed on southbound Sudley Road from Manassas Battlefield to I-66 to install a crane and bridge beams.

ROUTE 28 (SULLY ROAD) / CENTREVILLE

Monday, July 29 –Tuesday, July 30: 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Temporary stoppages of up to 15 minutes between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. on northbound and southbound Route 28 and on Braddock Road at Newton Patent Drive for small charge blasting at the Route 28 interchange.  Additionally, the ramps from westbound I-66 to northbound Route 28, and from westbound I-66 to southbound Route 28 will be temporarily closed for up to 15 minutes beginning at 11 a.m.

I-66 East from Route 29 Centreville to Stringfellow Road

Wednesday, July 31: 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Three left lanes closed for crews to remove overhead gantries. Drivers should expect occasional 20-minute stoppages and slowdowns along eastbound I-66.

ROUTE 286 (FAIRFAX COUNTY PARKWAY)

I-66 East from Route 286 to West Ox Road

Thursday, August 1: 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Three left lanes closed for crews to remove overhead gantries. Drivers should expect occasional 20-minute stoppages and slowdowns along eastbound I-66.

ROUTE 50 / FAIRFAX

I-66 East from Monument Drive to Jermantown Road

Sunday, July 28: 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Three left lanes closed for underground utility survey work. Drivers should expect occasional 20-minute stoppages and slowdowns along eastbound I-66.

ROUTE 123 (CHAIN BRIDGE ROAD) / OAKTON – CITY OF FAIRFAX

I-66 West from Blake Lane to Waples Mill Road

Sunday, July 28: 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Three left lanes closed for underground utility survey work. Drivers should expect occasional 20-minute stoppages and slowdowns along westbound I-66.

ROUTE 243 (NUTLEY STREET) / VIENNA

No significant traffic impacts scheduled.

I-495 (CAPITAL BELTWAY)

Ramp from I-495 North Express Lanes to I-66 West

Monday, July 29 – Thursday, August 2: midnight to 4 a.m.

Narrowing of ramp for crews to install signage.  Drivers should expect occasional 20-minute stoppages and slowdowns.

I-66 West from Route 7 to Gallows Road

Ramp from I-495 South to I-66 West

Ramp from I-495 North to I-66 West

Friday, August 2: 9 p.m. to 9 a.m.

Single lane closed on westbound I-66, on the ramp from I-495 South to westbound I-66 and on the ramp from I-495 North to westbound I-66 for total of three lanes closed for crews to implement a temporary traffic pattern change and set up a construction work zone on the left hand side of the roadway next to Dunn Loring Metro Station.   Drivers should expect occasional 20-minute stoppages and slowdowns along eastbound I-66.  Additionally, the ramp from the northbound I-495 Express Lanes to I-66 West will be closed between midnight and 4 a.m.
