ROUTE 28 (SULLY ROAD) / CENTREVILLE

I-66 East and West between Route 29 Centreville and Stringfellow Road

Route 28 North and South between Route 29 and Braddock Road

Ramp from Route 28 North to I-66 East

Monday, Jan. 13, through Friday, Jan. 17: 11 a.m. to noon

Temporary 15-minute stoppages of traffic on I-66 East and West and Route 28 North and South for blasting operations. Additionally, stoppages will occur on the ramp from Route 28 North to I-66 East and on the ramp from Route 28 North to I-66 West

Monday, Jan. 13: 9:30 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Two lanes closed for over head cantilever sign removal.   Additionally, the ramp from I-66 West to Route 29 Centreville will be closed from midnight to 4 a.m.  Drivers will be directed to exit I-66 West at the Route 28 Interchange, take the exit for Route 28 South, then take the exit for Route 29 South.

I-66 East and West between Sudley Road and Bull Run Rest Stop

Ramps from Sudley Road to I-66 East

Monday, Jan. 13 – Friday, Jan. 17: 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Virginia State Police will pace eastbound and westbound traffic in this area to a slow roll, with temporary stoppages possible, for blasting operations along I-66. Slow roll conditions should last for approximately 15 minutes. Additionally, stoppages will also occur on the ramp from Sudley Road to I-66 East starting at 11 a.m..  Stoppages may also be needed on Vandor Lane.

I-66 West from Compton Road to Bull Run Drive

Wednesday, Jan. 15: 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Three lanes closed for overhead gantry removal.  Drives should expect periodic 20-minute stoppages and slowdowns between midnight and 4 a.m.

I-66 East from Compton Road to Route 29 Centreville

Thursday, Jan. 16: 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Three lanes closed for overhead gantry removal.  Drives should expect periodic 20-minute stoppages and slowdowns between midnight and 4 a.m.

Ramp from Route 29 North in Centreville to I-66 East

Starting Thursday, Jan. 16 through May 2020

The left-turn lane and ramp from northbound Route 29 in Centreville to I-66 East will be closed for approximately 4 months.  Drivers on Route 29 North will be directed to stay to the left and continue to the intersection at Trinity Parkway/Machen Road. At the traffic signal, drivers will use the left-most turn lane only to make a U-turn onto Route 29 South, then stay to the right and follow signs to I-66 East.  As an alternate route, drivers can also continue north on Route 29 to Route 28 North, stay to the right and follow signs to I-66 East.

ROUTE 286 (FAIRFAX COUNTY PARKWAY)

Stringfellow Road between Fair Lakes Boulevard and Village Square Drive

Monday, Jan. 13, through Friday, Jan. 17: 9 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Friday, Jan. 17, from 9 p.m. until 3 p.m. Monday, Jan. 20

The right lane of southbound Stringfellow Road will be closed for underground utility relocation. The lane will be reopened weekdays between 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. to accommodate the evening rush. 

ROUTE 50 / FAIRFAX

ROUTE 123 (CHAIN BRIDGE ROAD) / OAKTON – CITY OF FAIRFAX

ROUTE 243 (NUTLEY STREET) / VIENNA

I-66 East from Nutley Street to Cedar Lane

Tuesday, Jan. 14: 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Three lanes closed for overhead gantry removal.  Drives should expect periodic 20-minute stoppages and slowdowns between midnight and 4 a.m.

I-495 (CAPITAL BELTWAY)

Ramp from I-66 East to I-495 South Express Lanes

Tuesday, Jan. 14: 9 p.m. – 5 a.m.

The ramp from I-66 East to the I-495 South Express Lanes will be closed for utility work.  Drivers will be directed to take the exit for the I-495 South general-purpose lanes.
