ROUTE 29 / GAINESVILLE

I-66 West from Route 29 from Groveton Road to University Boulevard

Monday, Dec. 16, and Tuesday, Dec. 17: 9 p.m. – 5 a.m.

Three right lanes closed for demolition work on the University Boulevard bridge over I-66.

ROUTE 234 BUSINESS (SUDLEY ROAD) / MANASSAS

I-66 East and West at Bull Run

Monday, Dec. 16, through Friday, Dec. 20: 11 a.m. to noon

Temporary 15-minute stoppages of traffic on I-66 East and West for blasting operations.

ROUTE 28 (SULLY ROAD) / CENTREVILLE

I-66 East and West between Route 29 Centreville and Stringfellow Road

Ramp from Route 28 North to I-66 East

Monday, Dec. 16, through Friday, Dec. 20: 11 a.m. to noon

Temporary 15-minute stoppages of traffic on I-66 East and West for blasting operations. Additionally, stoppages will occur on the ramp from Route 28 North to I-66 East.

I-66 East at Route 29 Centreville

Route 29 North at Stone Road

Route 29 South at Trinity Parkway

Monday, Dec. 16, through Friday, Dec. 20: 11 a.m. to noon

Temporary 15-minute stoppages of traffic on I-66 East and on Route 29 North and South for blasting operations at the Route 29 Interchange.

Route 29 Centreville at I-66

Starting 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, through 5 a.m. Monday, Dec. 16

Route 29 will be reduced to a single lane in each direction under I-66. Two-way traffic will run on Route 29 South during this period. Drivers using ramps to and from I-66 will not be allowed to make left turns during this time.

Route 29 Centreville at I-66

Friday, Dec. 20, and Saturday, Dec. 21: 10:30 p.m. to 8 a.m.

Route 29 will be reduced to a single lane in each direction under I-66. Two-way traffic will run on Route 29 North during this period. Drivers using ramps to and from I-66 will not be allowed to make left turns during this time.

ROUTE 286 (FAIRFAX COUNTY PARKWAY)

ROUTE 123 (CHAIN BRIDGE ROAD) / OAKTON – CITY OF FAIRFAX

Ramp from I-66 West to Route 123 (Chain Bridge Road)

Monday, Dec. 16, and Tuesday, Dec. 17: Midnight to 4 a.m.

The ramp will be closed for utility relocation. Traffic will be detoured farther west to Route 50 East, stay to the left for I-66 East, then follow signs to Route 123.

ROUTE 243 (NUTLEY STREET) / VIENNA

I-66 West from Cedar Lane to Vaden Drive

Sunday, Dec. 15: 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Three right lanes will be closed for crews to implement lane shifts.

I-66 West from Cedar Lane to Vaden Drive

Monday, Dec. 16, through Thursday, Dec 19: 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Friday, Dec. 20: 9:30 p.m. to 9 a.m.

Demolition of the Vaden Drive bridge pier along westbound I-66 next to the Metrorail tracks will require lane closures. I-66 West will be reduced to one lane between 11 p.m. and 4 a.m.. All lanes will be reopened by 5 a.m. on weekdays (9 a.m. on Friday PM/Saturday AM)

I-495 (CAPITAL BELTWAY)

Ramp from Gallows Road South to I-495 South

Friday, Dec. 20, and Saturday, Dec. 21: 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.

The ramp from southbound Gallows Road to I-495 South will be closed for underground utility work. Drivers will be directed to continue south on Gallows Road, stay to the left and make a U-turn under police direction at the traffic signal for I-495 North, then stay to the right and follow signs to I-495 South.
