ROUTE 29 / GAINESVILLE

Route 29 North and South from Heathcote Boulevard to University Boulevard

Monday, Apr. 20, through Friday, Apr. 24: 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Two lanes on northbound Route 29 and one lane on southbound Route 29 closed for drainage installation.

 

I-66 West from Route 234 Business to Route 29 Gainesville

Monday, April 20, through Friday, May 22

Left HOV lane will be closed for paving operations.   Three travel lanes will be open from noon to 9 p.m. daily.   During overnight hours (9 p.m. to 6 a.m.) daily, three travel lanes will be closed, leaving one travel lane open.  Between 6 a.m. and noon daily, two travel lanes will be closed, leaving two lanes open.

 

ROUTE 234 BUSINESS (SUDLEY ROAD) / MANASSAS

I-66 West from Route 234 Business to Route 29 Gainesville

Monday, April 20, through Friday, May 22

Left HOV lane will be closed for paving operations.   Three travel lanes will be open from noon to 9 p.m. daily.   During overnight hours (9 p.m. to 6 a.m.) daily, three travel lanes will be closed, leaving one travel lane open.  Between 6 a.m. and noon daily, two travel lanes will be closed, leaving two lanes open.

 

I-66 West near Bull Run

Monday, Apr. 20, through Friday, Apr. 24: 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Temporary 15-minute stoppages of traffic on I-66 West for blasting operations.

 

ROUTE 28 (SULLY ROAD) / CENTREVILLE

Route 29 Centreville North and South at I-66

Turn lanes from Route 29 Centreville South to I-66 West

Monday, Apr. 20, through Friday, Apr. 24: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Single lane closed on northbound and southbound Route 29 at I-66 for bridge pier construction.  The turn lanes from Route 29 South to I-66 West will also be narrowed to a single lane.

 

I-66 East and West between Route 29 Centreville and Stringfellow Road

Route 28 North and South between Route 29 and Braddock Road

Monday, Apr. 20, through Friday, Apr. 24: 11 a.m. to noon

Temporary 15-minute stoppages of traffic on I-66 East and West, Route 28 North and South for blasting operations.

 

Route 28 South from E.C. Lawrence Park Athletic Fields to I-66

Monday, Apr. 20, through Friday, Apr. 24: 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Two lanes of southbound Route 28 closed for paving and implementation of lane shifts.

 

ROUTE 286 (FAIRFAX COUNTY PARKWAY)

Stringfellow Road North and South from Westbrook Drive to Fair Lakes Boulevard

Monday, Apr. 20, through Friday, Apr. 24: 3 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The right lane of northbound and southbound Stringfellow Road will be closed for utility relocation.

 

Route 286 North and South from Lee Highway (Route 29) to Fair Lakes Parkway

Monday, Apr. 20, through Thursday, Apr. 23: 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Friday, Apr. 24: 10 p.m. to 8 a.m.

Two lanes closed for overhead bridge demolition of I-66 bridges over Route 286.   Drivers should expect occasional 20-minute stoppages and slowdowns along northbound Route 286.

 

ROUTE 50 / FAIRFAX

I-66 West from Jermantown Road to Route 50

Beginning 8 p.m. Monday, Mar. 30, through Monday, Apr. 26

Single left HOV lane on westbound I-66 closed for center bridge pier work.

 

ROUTE 123 (CHAIN BRIDGE ROAD) / OAKTON – CITY OF FAIRFAX

I-66 West from Jermantown Road to Waples Mill Road

I-66 East from Monument Drive to Waples Mill Road

Monday, Apr. 20, through Friday, Apr. 24: 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Two left lanes on eastbound and westbound I-66 closed for bridge work in center median at Waples Mill Road.

 

I-66 West from Jermantown Road to Route 50

Beginning 8 p.m. Monday, Mar. 30, through Monday, Apr. 26

Single left HOV lane on westbound I-66 closed for center bridge pier work. 

 

ROUTE 243 (NUTLEY STREET) / VIENNA

Cedar Lane from Hilltop Drive to Cottage Street

Monday, Apr. 20, through Friday, Apr. 24: 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Single lane, two-way traffic with flagging operation for underground waterline relocation.

 

I-66 West from Gallows Lane and Vaden Drive

Monday, Apr. 20, and Tuesday, Apr. 21: 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Three lanes closed for crews to implement lane shifts.  Following implementation of the lane shifts, there will be three through travel lanes with no HOV restriction in the left most lane through late-June for crews to construct new retaining wall and new travel lanes.

 

I-66 East from Blake Lane to Gallows Lane

Wednesday, Apr. 22, through Friday, Apr. 24: 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Three lanes closed for crews to implement lane shifts.  Following implementation of the lane shifts, there will be three through travel lanes with no HOV restriction in the left most lane through late-June for crews to construct new retaining wall and new travel lanes.

 

Saintsbury Drive from Vaden Drive to Blake Lane

Monday, Apr. 20, through Friday, Apr. 24: 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

I-495 (CAPITAL BELTWAY)

Ramp from I-66 East to I-495 North

Monday, April 20 at 8 p.m., through Sunday, May 10

Single left lane of two on the ramp from eastbound I-66 to northbound I-495 will be closed for bridge pier construction.

 

Ramp from I-495 North to I-66 West

Monday, April 20 at 8 p.m., through Sunday, May 10

Single left lane of two on the ramp from northbound I-495 to westbound I-66 will be closed for bridge pier construction

 

I-495 South from Route 7 to I-66

Monday, Apr. 20, through Wednesday, Apr. 22: 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Three left lanes will be closed for bridge work. Drivers should expect periodic 20-minute stoppages and slowdown on between midnight and 4 a.m.

 

I-495 North from Route 29 to I-66

Wednesday, Apr. 22, through Friday, Apr. 24: 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Two lanes closed for crane mobilization.
