Upcoming Lane Closures and Traffic Changes

ROUTE 29 / GAINESVILLE

No significant traffic impacts scheduled.

ROUTE 234 (SUDLEY ROAD) / MANASSAS

Ramp from I-66 East to Sudley Road

Monday, October 1: midnight to 4 a.m.

Overnight ramp closure for emergency repairs to a crash attenuator.  Traffic will be detoured to exit eastbound I-66 at Exit 44/Prince William Parkway (Route 234 Bypass) South, then turn left on to Balls Ford Road to Sudley Road (Route 234 Business).

I-66 West from Bull Run to Sudley Road

Friday, October 5 – Saturday, October 6: 9 p.m. to 9 a.m.

Three left lanes closed to implement long-term lane shifts for construction. Drivers should expect occasional 15-minute stoppages and slowdowns along westbound I-66.

I-66 East from Bull Run to Compton Road

Thursday, October 4: 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Three left lanes closed to implement long-term lane shifts for construction. Drivers should expect occasional 15-minute stoppages and slowdowns along eastbound I-66.

ROUTE 28 (SULLY ROAD) / CENTREVILLE

I-66 West from Compton Road to Bull Run

Monday, October 1 – Thursday, October 4: 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Three left lanes closed to implement long-term lane shifts for construction. Drivers should expect occasional 15-minute stoppages and slowdowns along westbound I-66.

ROUTE 286 (FAIRFAX COUNTY PARKWAY)

I-66 West from US Route 50 to Route 286 (Fairfax County Parkway)

Sunday, September 30: 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Monday, October 1 – Thursday, October 4: 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.

ROUTE 50 / FAIRFAX

I-66 West from US Route 50 to Route 286 (Fairfax County Parkway)

Sunday, September 30: 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Monday, October 1 – Thursday, October 4: 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Three left lanes closed to implement long-term lane shifts for construction. Drivers should expect occasional 15-minute stoppages and slowdowns along westbound I-66.

ROUTE 123 (CHAIN BRIDGE ROAD) / OAKTON – CITY OF FAIRFAX

Ramp from Route 123 South to I-66 West

Saturday, October 6: Midnight to 4 a.m.

Right lane of southbound Chain Bridge Road (Route 123) closed from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m.

Overnight ramp closure between midnight and 4 a.m. Traffic will be detoured to the I-66 East exit from Route 123 South.

ROUTE 243 (NUTLEY STREET) / VIENNA

No significant traffic impacts scheduled.

I-495

Ramp from I-66 West to I-495 South Regular and Express Lanes

Friday, October 5:  midnight to 4 a.m.

Overnight ramp closure from westbound I-66 to southbound I-495 regular and express lanes for geotechnical investigation. Travelers will be detoured to the exit for southbound Nutley Street, then take the ramp for eastbound I-66 back toward I-495.
